What’s a Twofer? It’s two of Rory McEllin’s favorite classes rolled into one. You’ll begin by making and baking your Focaccia* and while that’s baking, you’ll start on your Crème Brûlée**. While your Brûlées are baking, everyone will get to nibble on their own focaccias and then it’s on to torching the sugar on (and enjoying) one of our ready made Brûlées! (So you can bring all of yours home to impress your friends & family along with any focaccia you have left over.)
*Focaccia is like pizza, only better! Usually flavored with herbs and extra virgin olive oil, but you can flavor and top with whatever you like! You can even make a sweet version using grapes, figs, or cherries. Rory’s been hard at work perfecting four different topping options for your focacci: Italian Sausages & Peppers, Philly Cheesesteak, Taco Chicken or Vegetarian (we'll have a selection of fresh herbs and vegetables to choose from.) You'll be looking for excuses to make this delicious flatbread to impress your friends and family.
**Crème Brûlée (Gluten Free) Creamy vanilla custard topped with a crunchy caramelized layer of sugar…what’s not to love? Add this sophisticated dessert to your repertoire and impress your family and friends. You’ll make 6 individual Crème Brûlées to take home - making recreating this dish at home a breeze.
This class is suitable for the following Dynamic Duo* types:
YES: Parent/Grandparent & Child
YES: Couples
YES: Friends (you will share all equipment/ingredients for 1 recipe/batch…we let you rock, paper, scissors if the recipe doesn’t divide equally.)
*What is a Dynamic Duo? It’s basically two people sharing the same workstation at no extra charge. You share all equipment and ingredients for a single batch of whatever we’re making that day. Don’t worry, we won’t stick you with some random stranger- if you want to fly solo, you’ll have the station (and all the yummy food) all to yourself!
We provide all ingredients, supplies, and tools required for use during each class. Best of all you get to take home whatever tasty treats you make - we provide all boxes/packaging.
We always have a selection of teas, coffee, water and something tasty to nibble on when you visit. However, you are welcome to bring your own drinks (if you are BYOBing, please drink responsibly) or snacks if you desire. Lunch is provided for full day classes, please let us know of any allergies in the notes section when you are booking your classes.
Please wear comfortable shoes (stools will be provided) and have long hair tied back. For the comfort of all our students and staff, we ask that you refrain from wearing perfume or cologne. You may wish to bring a cardigan or sweater as the kitchen is kept at 68F.
Please specify in the notes section at checkout which focaccia topping option you would like:
