Terms of Service

WELCOME!

  • We provide all ingredients, recipes, supplies, and tools (including aprons) required for use during each class. Best of all you get to take home whatever tasty treats you make – and we provide all boxes/packaging too. Plus…a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases the day of class

  • Please wear comfortable shoes (stools will be provided) and have long hair tied back. For the comfort of all our students and staff, we ask that you refrain from wearing strong perfume or cologne.

  • You may wish to bring a cardigan or sweater as the kitchen is kept at 68F!

  • Our doors open 15 minutes before class so you can use the facilities, have a coffee and relax before class.

  • We provide tea, coffee, water and light refreshments for your enjoyment during class (lunch is included for Full Day classes) plus you get to sample whatever your instructor has made.

  • For Boozy Bakes and Chef’s Night/Date Night classes you are welcome to BYOB (please drink responsibly!) We provide glasses, wine/bottle openers but alas are unable to provide any liquid libations other than those listed above.

  • The majority of our classes are suitable for Dynamic Duos so you can bring someone to share the fun! (The main exceptions are the Professional Courses and Summer Camps.)

  • What is a Dynamic Duo? It’s basically two buddies (friends/family members/colleagues) sharing the same workstation at no extra charge. You will share all equipment and ingredients for a single batch of whatever we’re making that day. Check individual class descriptions for more details. You only need to book one station per duo unless you both want to make full batches of the class recipes.

    Age Restrictions:

  • Baking enthusiasts ages 14* and older are welcome to attend any class (Except Boozy Bakes) . Children ages 8+ are welcome on our Dynamic Duo classes, private events, and Homeschool Group classes.

  •  All persons joining the classroom must have confirmed and paid registrations and a signed waiver. Students under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Stools are provided, however, you will be standing and working for most of the class. ADA/Wheelchair accessible seating is also available upon request, please notify us in advance so we can provide a comfortable station.

  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.

  • To comply with Food Safety regulations (and for the comfort of all our students) we ask that you refrain from wearing strong perfume/cologne to class.

  • We also advise you to remove any rings/watches/bracelets before class. (Plain wedding bands are allowed.)

Types of classes:

  •  Hands-on Professional classes are limited to 10 individual students unless otherwise stated in the class description.

  • Dynamic Duo/Couples classes consist of two spouses/friends/parent & a child who will share a workspace and materials. Each Dynamic Duo booking is for 2 participants for a maximum of 22 participants per class.


Anyone over 18 is considered an adult and can attend on their own. Children 14 + are allowed to attend most classes with the exception of the Boozy Bakes (must be 21+ to attend) unaccompanied with a signed waiver by a parent or legal guardian. Please check with us before booking if you have any concerns about the suitability of a class for your teen.

Children age 8+ are welcome in most classes with the exception of the Boozy Bakes (must be 21+ to attend.) And for safety’s sake, the pulled (boiling hot) sugar classes are not recommended for anyone under the age of 14.

*Children aged 8+ may participate in our Dynamic Duo and Taster classes when a registered adult is attending with them. (Young children need a little extra help, so we ask that each child be accompanied by a responsible adult.)

On occasion we will offer classes that are geared toward parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/older siblings (18+) and smaller children. These classes will be shorter in duration (2 - 2.5 hours) and children younger than 8 will be catered for but must still be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Regular Class Cancellation Policy

We accept cancellations with full refunds if made at least 5 days or more prior to class.

Cancellation requests received 4 days up to 72 hours before class will receive store credit for the class for use on future classes. Exceptions are made if we are able to fill the spot, then the amount paid for the spot will be refunded. Please understand we may need to offer a discount code in order to fill the spot and the exact amount the replacement has paid is what will be refunded, which may be lower than the amount you originally paid.

If Cancellation requests are made less than 72 hours before class start we will have already purchased and/or prepared class materials for the student and scheduled staff to work and your fee covers those costs. Therefore, no credit or refund will be given. However, your seat CAN be gifted to someone else (please see age restrictions) to come in your place. We encourage class gifting if you find you are unable to attend the day of class. Just call us to tell us the new student's name.

Notice of Class Cancellations by Florida Academy of Baking

We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low registration, inclement weather, or for any other unforeseen reason. Students will be notified via email and/or text of this cancellation. Students will have the first right of notification and registration if the class is simply postponed and rescheduled for a later date. If unable to commit to the rescheduled date, the student will be refunded his or her registration in full per their request, no matter whether the class is canceled months in advance or 24 hours prior to class.

Double Booking of Spots: Please notify us as soon as possible if you have accidentally double booked or one or more of your party are unable to attend. We regret that we are unable to offer refunds if we are notified less than 5 days before a class unless we are able to fill the spot. Please note that we may need to offer your cancelled spot at a discounted price in order to fill the spot and you will receive that amount as a refund. If we are unable to fill the spot, no refund will be given but a credit note in line with our above stated cancellation policy may be offered.

Dynamic Duos: You only need to book ONE SPOT (Station) per Dynamic Duo. A Duo consists of TWO people. If you have three people attending, you must book TWO spots. If you accidentally overbook, please notify us immediately as no refund will be given if you wait until you arrive to class as we will be unable to fill a spot at such short notice.

Guest Instructor Class Cancellation Policy

As we strive to bring high caliber National and International Guest Instructors to our FAB family, we incur significant additional expenses in advance, and therefore our Guest Instructor Class Cancellation Policy is outlined below.

We accept cancellations with full refunds if made at least 30 days or more prior to class.

Cancellation requests received 29 days up to 7 days before class will receive store credit for the class for use on future classes. Exceptions are made if we are able to fill the spot, then the amount paid for the spot will be refunded. Please understand we may need to offer a discount code in order to fill the spot and the exact amount the replacement has paid is what will be refunded, which may be lower than the amount you originally paid.

If Cancellation requests are made less than 7 days before class start we will have already purchased and/or prepared class materials for the student and scheduled staff to work and your fee covers those costs. Therefore, no credit or refund will be given (subject to us being able to sell the spot*). However, your seat CAN be gifted to someone else (please see age restrictions) to come in your place. We encourage class gifting if you find you are unable to attend the day of class. Just call us to tell us the new student's name.
