Buttercream 101 - 4 Week Course

$499.00 (Includes 29 Piece Set JEM Piping Tips, a PME Texture Comb, a 2 pack of JEM Twist Twist Nozzles & Piping Guides)

Tuesdays, January 10, 17, 24 & 31, 2023 | 6:00PM - 8:30PM This is a continuity class, so please ensure the dates suit you before signing up.

Join Master Decorator Angela McEllin for four fun filled weeks demystifying the secrets to mastering the art of buttercream.

Each week you will receive a freshly baked item (Cakes/Cupcakes/Cookie Tart) so all your class time is devoted to BUTTERCREAM! Each week you will go home with a little homework (the fun kind, I promise!) as well as your decorated baked goods to the oohs and ahhhs of your friends and family!

  • 4 varieties of Buttercream (in your choice of flavors/colors)

  • How to color/ombre/color match your buttercream

  • Leveling, Torting, Filling and Crumb Coating your cakes

  • Piping Flowers using Flower Nails and directly onto baked goods

  • Boarders and using Twist Twist Nozzles

  • Using Texture Combs, Texture Mats and Molds with Buttercream

This class is suitable for the following Dynamic Duo types:

    YES: Parent/Grandparent & Child

YES: Couples/Roommates (live in the same household)

YES: Friends (you will share all equipment/ingredients for 1 recipe/batch…we let you rock, paper, scissors if the recipe doesn’t divide equally.) You will receive 1 set of piping tips and 1 texture comb, but your partner can purchase the same items at a discount during class if they like.

*What is a Dynamic Duo? It’s basically two buddies sharing the same workstation at no extra charge. You share all equipment and ingredients for a single batch of whatever we’re making that day. (Don’t worry, we won’t stick you with some random stranger- if you want to fly solo, you’ll have the station (and all the yummy food) all to yourself!)

We provide aprons, recipes, all ingredients, supplies, and tools required for use during each class. Best of all you get to take home whatever tasty treats you make - we provide all boxes/packaging.

Please wear comfortable shoes (stools will be provided) and have long hair tied back. For the comfort of all our students and staff, we ask that you refrain from wearing strong perfume or cologne. You may wish to bring a cardigan or sweater as the kitchen is kept at 68F.
